Nick is an alumnus of the Recovery Works Program at CrescentCare. Since his completion of the program in 2018 he has flourished, taking recovery beyond the SUD diagnosis into physical, social, vocational, and mental rehabilitation. As a peer support specialist, Nick is convinced that recovery is always client-centered, and he enjoys helping clients gain accessibility to the tools and techniques they seek to achieve their individualized goals. He hopes to help his peers navigate the BH system by connecting them to social support, behavioral health professionals, resources, and recovery. Nick is currently an undergrad student at Southern University at New Orleans where he has been awarded many honors as he pursues his degree in Addictive Behaviors counseling and Prevention and he hopes to eventually obtain his MSW.
