Benjamin Kalayjian, MD, Physician Lead – Community Health and Low Barrier Access
Dr. Ben Kalayjian is board certified in Internal and Addiction Medicine, as well as an HIV Specialist, serving as Physician Lead for Community Health and Low Barrier Access at CrescentCare. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he completed medical school and residency in New Orleans at Tulane University and holds a Master of Applied Science from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea, West Africa, and worked with Doctors Without Borders in India.
In his current role, Dr. Kalayjian works at the intersection of public health and clinical medicine, developing community informed, low barrier services integrated within HIV Prevention programs at CrescentCare. With a lifelong interest in languages, culture, and spirituality, he is completing a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Arizona. He believes in a holistic approach to primary care, offering complementary and lifestyle-based recommendations alongside evidence-based care.
