New Orleans Musicians' Clinic

CrescentCare is proud to partner with the New Orleans Musician’s Clinic & Assistance Foundation to provide primary medical care, mental health care, and dental care for our city’s musicians and culture bearers. Our musicians make New Orleans special. It is an honor to care for the members of our community who give our city its soul.

Services for the patients of the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic:

How do I make an appointment at CrescentCare?

Please call CrescentCare at (504) 821-2601 and request a new patient appointment. Megan McStravick (504) 452-5870 can also assist you with contact information and questions.

I am concerned about my medical records. Will the new provider be able to see my LSU medical records?

Yes! CrescentCare providers have access to the LSU Epic system and will be able to see the medical records of all patients transferring from the Musicians’ Clinic at LSU.

I don’t have insurance. What happens to me?

CrescentCare’s team of eligibility specialists will help evaluate if you are eligible for Medicaid or the Marketplace. If you are eligible, we will assist you with the application. In addition, CrescentCare has a sliding fee scale for those who are below 200% of the federal poverty level. Please see more information here

What is the timing of this transition?

We are currently enrolling and actively providing services to patients from The New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic. Until June 30, patients can continue to be seen at either the LSU location or CrescentCare. After July 1st, services currently provided by LSU for the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic will be transferred to CrescentCare. We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and ensuring you continue to receive the highest quality of care.

Why is this transition happening?

This new partnership with CrescentCare will ensure the survival of the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and the ability to support our musicians and culture bearers.
