Food for Friends

Part of good care for HIV and AIDS clients is access to healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals and grocery choices. Often clients do not have the resources or the ability to buy groceries or prepare nutritious meals for themselves. The Food For Friends (FFF) Program has been supplying groceries, household/personal care products, and Home Delivered Meals to clients and their families in the greater New Orleans area for over two decades. Our pantry on Tulane Ave. allows easy access for hundreds of clients visiting the clinic and other services to select their choices of groceries, household products, and personal care items each month, distributing over 180,000 pounds of product annually to clients and their families in need. Our home delivered meals are delivered weekly to the client’s home.

Our new Transgender Rights Project focuses on denials of requests for coverage and insurance claims for medically necessary services for transgender clients.
