Dr. Amirah Jackson is a Dentist and New Orleans native who brings extensive clinical and academic experience to CrescentCare’s Dental Department. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She furthered her training through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of New Mexico and holds a Graduate Certificate in Health Professions Education.

Dr. Jackson previously served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville and University of Oklahoma, where she was actively involved in preclinical and clinical instruction, particularly in prosthodontics and removable dental prosthetics. Her experience also includes work in private practice, mobile dentistry, and community-based care.

During her academic career, Dr. Jackson was recognized with the International College of Dentists Humanitarian Award and received several scholarships supporting her commitment to dental education and service. She is dedicated to expanding access to quality dental care through outreach and community service, making her a valuable addition to CrescentCare’s mission of serving the New Orleans community.
