Huffstatler joins CrescentCare as Director of Development

NEW ORLEANS – CrescentCare announces that Jay Huffstatler has joined the nonprofit organization as Director of Development.

Huffstatler brings to CrescentCare 24 years of development and community leadership experience in New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Advancement Officer with New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity and, previously, served as Senior Development Officer with Tulane University Law School and Regional Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross in both Louisiana and Mississippi. He also served as Chief of Staff and Government Claims Lead for the BP Gulf Coast Restoration Organization with James Lee Witt Associates. Jay has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and an Associate of Arts from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

“Jay’s vision, insight, and fundraising expertise will be instrumental in our continued growth and as we open our new MidCity location at 2515 Canal Street ,” said Alice Riener, CrescentCare’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are thrilled to build upon the incredible foundation established over the last 40 years and eager to make an even more meaningful impact through our services and respond to the urgent needs of our community,” added Riener.

Jay serves as president of the board of the Gulf South LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, communications committee chair and National Philanthropy Day co-chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater New Orleans Chapter, and board member for Forum for Equality Louisiana. Jay is a 2022 graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute.
